Dear Parents and Carers
Firstly, thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigated an eventful term which included lockdowns and remote learning.
Farewells and Welcomes
At the end of this term we farewell Mrs Kim Kelley and Mrs Ania Young due to family reasons. We wish them the best as they make the neccesary changes to allow them to spend more time with their families. Ms Kristie Copestake will commence Maternity Leave from Week 3 in Term 3, so we will have an opporutnity to say good luck as long as there is no early "arrivals".
We welcome the staff who will joing us in the following Learning Groups -
Mr Iain Peterken in Foundation KK
Ms Sarah Martin and Mrs Chanel Blair, who will job share in Year 1 AY
Miss Rebecca Kis in Year 4 KC
These teachers will be familiar to many of our students as they have currently been working as CRT's at St Clare's.
Semester 2 Reports
Reports are currenlty being finalised and prepared for distribution via PAM. Parents will receive an email when the reports are released on Friday. To access the reports you will need to login to your PAM account. We also suggest you download and retain a copy of you child's report so they can be accessed if necessary in the future. For those in the senior levels they may be requested by the Secondary Schools.
Following today's announcements we will provide an update prior to next term around parent access onsite. We have Parent Teacher Interviews planned for Week 4 with the view to being able to hold these Face-to-Face.
Casual Clothes Day - Friday 25 June 2021
Students are invited to wear casual clothes on the last day of term.
We will be encouraging students to bring in coins (including gold ones) for St Vinnies and needy families in our area. We are aiming to make a giant smiling face on the egg.
Students will be participating in their normal PE classes on this day so we ask you to keep this in mind as they decide on what they wear for the day.
Amazing develpoment continues as part of Stage 5 Works at St Clare's
The excitement is building as we wait for it's completion which is due by the end of term 3.
During Japanese, students were able to experience trying their hand at Japanese calligraphy (Shodo).
Shodo is the traditional Japanese way of Calligraphy, an ancient art form present in Japanese culture both in the past and continuing into the modern world.
Students used special paint brushes (Fude) and a special scroll which they can write on with water and as it dries, the writing disappears.
PAM - Parent Access Module
Thank you to the majority of parents who have set up and accessed their PAM account. All parents MUST have access to PAM. This is the portal that we will be using for all communications between school and home.
Semester 1 reports will be shared with parents atthe end of this term via PAM, therefore it is VITAL that all parents activate their account if you have not already done so.
If you are having any issues please email admin@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au
Here is the link for the St Clare's Parent Access Portal (PAM)
You username is the email address that you have registered with the school. The first time you log in we ask that you use the forgotten password feature to set your own password.
ALL parents must access PAM to receive up to date information and grant necessary permissions. Students will miss out on events if permission is not granted.
MEDICAL INFORMATION - When you update your child's medical information in PAM - PLEASE ensure this is accurate. The school must have current up to date asthma, allergy, anaphylaxis or medical plans for those students identified with these conditions and any other medical conditions such as diabetes or epilepsy. This is to ensure we have relevant information to assist your child with the management of these medical conditions.
SKOOLBAG is no longer being used. To report student absence please use PAM, email absent@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au or call 5940 6777
Please ensure the school has your current contact details - this includes address, email, work numbers etc. To update details please email admin@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au or call 5940 6777. Through PAM parents are also able to update your child's medical details.
