Dear Parents and Carers
Two more big sleeps – and holidays are here.
You as parents and home educators have earned the break and so have the children who have missed their friends, teachers and the routine that school offers.
A reminder that this Friday is footy colours day (or simply free dress if you prefer) so rock up to your google meet in the colours of your favourite team.
Regarding the beginning of next term and whether we are back to onsite learning or not, we will distribute information to parents following the Government guidelines. Please check your emails and the school Facebook page closer to the beginning of Term 4 which starts on Monday 4 October.
School Holidays Ideas
Theme: A Moment of Prayer
A moment? What’s in a moment?
A moment as defined in the Cambridge dictionary is a very short period of time.
How many moments in the day? How many times do we have to wait a moment?
In our life there are many moments that we celebrate and then there are the moments where we just want to cry. As people we give many moments of ourselves to others.
How many moments do we give ourselves? How many moments do we give ourselves to nurture our relationship with God and our faith?
Take a moment now to stop and connect yourself with God.
A Moment of Mindfulness
Daily life can be busy and stressful. But did you know that you can calm that pressure simply by taking a moment to stop and focus on the present?
Mindfulness is about connecting with your immediate thoughts and feelings without judging them. You can practise mindfulness anywhere by taking a deep breath, then allowing yourself to focus only on what is happening in that moment – both in the world around you and in your mind.
Why?
Studies have shown that mindfulness has a strong positive effect on your mental wellbeing. By directing your attention to what is happening in the present, you’re less likely to focus on worrying about things from the past, or things that might happen in the future.
Some suggestions for supporting mindfulness moments:
Play your favourite music- Listen to your favourite music playlist and notice how that makes you feel.
Spend time outdoors - Make time to get outside, breathe in fresh air and notice of the world around you. If you can't get outside, look for a sunny spot in the house or open your windows and doors to let in the fresh air.SCHOOL FEES
