Dear Parents and Guardians
We remind you that tomorrow is the last day of Term 1. Students will be dismissed at the normal time of 3.10pm. There are special activities planned for the day which include:
- Casual clothes day with particular emphasis on blue and yellow -- the Ukraine National colours
- We will plant sunflowers -- the National flower of Ukraine and a symbol of hope
- Coin line for Caritas who support world projects including Ukraine ** Students will engage in cross-age activities
- Assembly at 9am - which parents are welcome to attend. Those attending must sign in and provide proof of COVID vaccination.
Friday 8 April is a Professional Development Day for staff. Camp Australia is providing care for those families who require it but please ensure you book in.
Students return for Term 2 on Tuesday 26 April as the Monday is ANZAC day.
Anzac Day badges, wristbands etc are available for purchase from the school office.
Cross Country
How wonderful it was to watch our Year 3-6 students compete in our own Cross Country trials on Monday. The encouragement and support they offered each other and their positive attitude to giving it a go was wonderful to see and hear.
A very big thank you to our parent helpers who gave up their time to support the students.
It was also lovely to see so many parents and grandparents enjoying a view of the finish line from the verandah.
These events do not occur without much hard work - Miss Jacinta Heywood worked tirelessly to make Cross Country successful and it certainly ran without incident and she ensured it was a positive experience for all involved. Thank you Jacinta!
Sacraments in 2022
All families of students in Year 4 who are receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion should now have received a letter with dates outlined (and this was also in last week’s newsletter). There are also some students in Years 5 and 6 receiving this Sacrament.
A reminder that attendance at one of the Parent evenings on Tues 26 or Wed 27 April at 7pm at St Patrick’s is necessary.
Confirmation (Year 6 students) will occur on Friday 19 August this year.
Reconciliation for Year 3 students will be Wednesday 26 October and Thursday 27 October at 7pm.

School Fun Run Reminder
We are back with the fun run Monday 9th May 2022. Just a quick reminder to get your child’s profile set up over the holidays and get your fundraising hats on.
How Does My Child Fundraise?
Firstly, go to schoolfunrun.com.au and create a student profile page. Everything to do with your fundraising revolves around this page.
Students who raise just $10 will be able to choose a prize! The more they raise, the better their reward – don’t forget to check these out in the sponsorship form! The great thing about online fundraising is that you can share the link to your child’s profile with friends and family via email, SMS and Social Media
Online Fundraising
The safest way to raise money is through online fundraising, it’s safer and easier than doorknocking and you don’t have to worry about handling money. To start fundraising online, go to your student profile page at schoolfundraising.com.au and share your online fundraising link. Profiles are safe and can only be viewed by the people you choose to share the link with.
If you have any questions, then please contact Mel Harding from the P&F or alternatively the School Fun-Run team on 1800 FUN RUN (386 786) and they will gladly assist!
Once again, thank you all for your continued support
Don’t forget Fun Food “Fhursday” this week as the last day is on Thursday and not Friday so please make sure your children have $1 for an icypole.

COVID Update
As announced yesterday, Primary SChool aged students are asked to continue testing twice weekly for COVID during term 2. We encourage families to continue testing, unless you are exempt due to having tested positive to COVID in the previous 8 weeks.
If you child or anyone within the family tests positive to COVID please let the school know immediately by email admin@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au or phone 03 5940 6777.
Current restrictions have not changed at this stage and should someone within the household test positive, everyone in the home must isoalte for 7 days.
Stuents in Years 3 to Year 6 are also still required to wear masks while indoors, so please ensure your child comes to school with a mask each day. If they have forgotten there are some available in the classrooms.
SCHOOL FEES
Term 1 fees are now overdue. Please contact the school to arrange payment. If you have a direct debit set up there is nothing you need to do, this will continue to process as per the agreement. If you would like to set up a direct debit please email finance@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au to request a direct debit form.
For those families who have a Pension or Health Care Card plesae ensure the school has been provided with a copy of your new card when it is received. This will ensure we can apply for the funding to help reduce your school fees.
If your circumstances have changed and you now have a Pension or Health Care Card please ensure you let the office know. We can then send you the relevant forms for completion so funding can be applied for.
PAM - Parent Access Module
Here is the link for the St Clare's Parent Access Portal (PAM)
You username is the email address that you have registered with the school. The first time you log in we ask that you use the forgotten password feature to set your own password.
ALL parents must access PAM to receive up to date information and grant necessary permissions. Students will miss out on events if permission is not granted.
MEDICAL INFORMATION - When you update your child's medical information in PAM - PLEASE ensure this is accurate. The school must have current up to date asthma, allergy, anaphylaxis or medical plans for those students identified with these conditions and any other medical conditions such as diabetes or epilepsy. This is to ensure we have relevant information to assist your child with the management of these medical conditions.
Please ensure the school has your current contact details - this includes address, email, work numbers etc. To update details please email admin@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au or call 5940 6777. Through PAM parents are able to update your child's medical details.
REPORTING AN ABSENCE
To report your child's absence plesae do so via PAM, email absent@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au or call 5940 6777
