MOTHERS’ DAY
This Sunday we celebrate Mother’s Day. A special day to highlight the central roles our Mothers play in our lives. We also celebrate all the other women in our lives such as grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts, cousins, teachers and special friends who have helped to shape and form us into the person we are today
We pray to our Mother Mary to bless all the mothers of St Clare's School community. May Mother Mary bless you all, inspiring and energising you by her gentle example of love and perseverance. May she guide you each day as you care and guide your child/ren to grow and flourish. Below is a prayer you may like to pray together with your family on Mother’s Day.
Dear Lord,
We pray for young mothers, who give life and count toes and tend to our every need; may they be blessed with patience and tenderness to care for their families and themselves with great joy.
We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us; may they continue to guide us in strong and gentle ways.
We remember mothers who are separated from their children because of war, poverty or conflict; may they feel the loving embrace of our God who wipes away every tear.
We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.
We remember mothers, grandmothers, and great grandmothers who are no longer with us but who live forever etched in our memory, with love.
Amen.
Fun Run on Monday
We are finally able to have our Fun Run (which has been put on hold for two years now) and are keen for our students to have fun while also supporting their school. Money raised will help the P&F support various school projects including the extensive landscape works.
Please encourage your child/ren to be engaged in this event and to raise some money.
Children may wear ‘fun’ clothes for this event – dress ups, colours, etc but must wear suitable shoes for running.
- The Years 3-6 students will have their Fun Run from 9:15 – 10:30
- F – 2 students will combine the Fun Run with the Cross Country and run between 11:30 and 1:00pm.
- Parents are welcome to attend either as observers or as volunteers.
- If parents are volunteering they must have a current Working with Children Card and able to provide evidence of COVID vaccination (including 3rd booster dose) or a valid expemtion.

Monday 9th May 2022
We only have a couple of days left so below is some important information regarding the prize ordering process.
All money (online and cash) is due by 16th May with prizes to be ordered between the 16th and 23rd May. Simply visit schoolfundraising.com.au to create / log into your Profile Page, click on the ‘CLAIM YOUR PRIZE’ button and follow the prompts. If you have any questions, please contact the School Fun-Run team on 1800 FUN RUN and they will gladly assist.
If you are collecting cash and do not wish to create a profile for your child/children:
1. Complete the Fun Run booklet correctly ensuring ALL the information is correct (child’s name, class and total collected) and the prizes have been selected. Prize total MUST tally with the money raised.
2. Return the booklet and correct cash to the office NO LATER than Monday 16th May. (This process must be followed for each individual child.)
We have had a phenomenal response from our students and families so far and we cannot thank you all enough.
COVID update
Primary School aged students are asked to continue testing twice weekly for COVID during term 2. We encourage families to continue testing, unless you are exempt due to having tested positive to COVID in the previous 12 weeks.
If you child or anyone within the family tests positive to COVID please let the school know immediately by email admin@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au or phone 03 5940 6777.
Current restrictions require anyone who tests positive to isolate for 7 days. Household members do not need to isolate but they must have a negative RAT result, being showing no symptoms and are required to wear a mask if they attend school.
SCHOOL FEES
Term 2 fees are now payable. Please contact the school to arrange payment. If you have a direct debit set up there is nothing you need to do, this will continue to process as per the agreement. If you would like to set up a direct debit please email finance@stclaresofficer.catholic.edu.au to request a direct debit form.
For those families who have a Pension or Health Care Card plesae ensure the school has been provided with a copy of your new card when it is received. This will ensure we can apply for the funding to help reduce your school fees.
If your circumstances have changed and you now have a Pension or Health Care Card please ensure you let the office know. We can then send you the relevant forms for completion so funding can be applied for.
