Dear Parents and Carers
We have had many events recently to promote the fitness and wellbeing of our students: the Cross Country, Fun Run, AFL Football Clinics for Year 4 students and on Monday, our Athletics Carnival for Years 3-6 students. The F-2 Athletics event is scheduled for later in the year when the weather is a little warmer.

UNIFORM
Winter uniform is now compulsory. Please ensure that the uniform is worn perfectly and proudly. For girls, this means grey tights (not socks or leggings) and the crossover tie. For the boys, the winter uniform includes the tie.
Students are to wear black leather-type footwear. The sporting-type shoes are only for sport days.
The girls winter pants are now in stock at Noone.
Whole School Assemblies
Given the size of the school and our limited space now, whole school assemblies will be held for special events. For Term 2, these will begin at 2:40pm in the modular on the following dates:
- Friday 3 June – Catholic Education Week – (lead by Year 3 students)
- Friday 24 June – End of Term Assembly (lead by Year 2 students)
Parents are welcome to attend these assemblies.
Each level will also have assemblies on a regular basis where student achievements are acknowledged.
St Clare’s is now offering a valuable resource called SchoolTV to parents.
Parenting our children is a complex, challenging and rewarding experience. However, the demands on parents to remain current with technology, drug and alcohol advice and safe practices in a virtual and social media world, as well as dealing with anxiety and wellbeing, add to our busy and diverse family lives.
SchoolTV is a new ongoing resource that is now available to all St Clare’s parents. Each online edition will address a major topic with expert interviews, fact sheets, a parent quiz, recommended apps, books and more. SchoolTV combines information from a host of reliable resources, including BeyondBlue and ReachOut. It provides a single stream of independent factual information that saves parents time and the confusion of searching across multiple online sites for information.
You can access the SchoolTV archive here : https://stclaresofficer.catholic.schooltv.me
During the School year we will publish various topics for you to access.
The topics covered may be pertinent to your immediate situation, or the resource may be useful for you at a later date.
We hope that you find SchoolTV to be informative and a useful source of current well-researched information.
Last Friday a group of Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students who qualified for District Cross Country travelled by bus to Toomuc Reserve. The students ran in their age groups and cheered each other on and showed true St Clare’s spirit by encouraging each other when nearing the finish line. They behaved and conducted themselves beautifully - we were very proud of them!
Congratulations to all of our students who competed. The following students have made it through to the State Cross country competition in June:
Ava Year 6
Luca Year 5
Beth Year 5
Brodie Year 4
Charlise Year 3

This week is National Reconciliation Week and this year’s theme is “Be Brave, Make Change.” This theme calls us all, as Australians, to be brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can make changes that benefit all Australians.
