Dear Parents and Carers
What a delight it is to have your children back at school, on-site, next week – we have missed them all.
We fully understand that some children will have thrived during remote learning, others will have survived and some may have floundered.
Please be patient as children adapt again to the routines of on-site learning. Undoubtedly there will be some tweaks that happen in the home as well. There may well be a period of re-adjustment.
Please take the time to read this newsletter for information regarding drop off an pick up of students.
At all times, the safety and wellbeing of students and staff is of critical importance to St Clare’s and so it is worth noting:
· Parents and non-essential visitors are not to be on school premises except by appointment
· Drop off and collection of students in some cases will change (see below)
. Students will be temperauture checked on arrival at school
. All staff will be wearing masks
· Social distancing of adults will be maintained
· Children are not required to socially distance
· Cleaning of high touch areas and toilets will happen frequently throughout the day
· The adventure playground will be cleaned after recess and lunch breaks
· The sandpit will not be used
· The usual school hours will be maintained
· There is no need for us to stagger breaks given the capacity of our playground
· Where possible, student equipment will not be shared
· Any shared equipment will be cleaned regularly
· If a child is unwell (even with mild symptoms) they must remain home
There are two options for students arriving at or being collected from school - 1. Kiss ‘n’ Drop OR 2. Through the pedestrian gate |
|
Kiss ‘n’ Drop |
· Drop off is from 8:30 – 8:50am (usual time) · Students are not to arrive earlier than this unless going to Before School Care (bookings essential) · Families whose SURNAME names begins with A-K are asked to go to the first Kiss ‘n’ Drop zone · Families whose SURNAME name begins with L-Z are asked to go to the second Kiss ‘n’ Drop zone · Pick up is from 3:10 – 3:30pm (usual time) · At all times, parents are to remain in the car · Staff will be available to assist children who may need help |
Through the Pedestrian Gate
|
· Arrival is between 8:30 – 8:50am (usual time) · Parents are NOT to enter the school grounds · Parents can park in Majestic Drive or nearby streets and walk their child to either pedestrian gate (but must maintain social distancing with other adults) · Staff will be available to assist children who may need help · Dismissal is 3:10pm (usual time) · Parents can meet their child at the gate but must maintain social distancing with other adults |
Please have a conversarion with your child and ensure they know where to meet you at the end of the day.
